All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy

Details
April's was suggested by Whitten and accepted in March's meeting.
302 pages, somewhat in stock at IndyPL. Won the national book award in 1992. This is the first part of McCarthy's border trilogy - a western fiction that will probably feel like every other McCarthy western fiction. Described as a sometimes comic adventure with our hero and his sidekick and trusty dog - maybe an American Don Quixote?
From Goodreads:
Teenager John Grady Cole, the last of a long line of Texas ranchers, has nothing left to stay for. Across the border Mexico beckons—beautiful and desolate, rugged and cruelly civilized. With neighbor Rawlins, and scruffy boy, he rides toward an idyllic, sometimes comic adventure, to a place where dreams are paid for in blood.

Interested in suggesting a book? Bring it up to me at a meeting (or after by Meetup messages) and we can talk about it, if it sounds like it will fit I will add it to the list to be voted on by the group. There are some genre, content and page length restrictions but we're down to give most things a shot.
I have made a Google Doc that people can view to publicize the current set of suggestions see my notes on them. I've included an introduction to make it clear what I look for, how I suggest books and how to interact with the system.
