**Presenter:** Philip Young
So, your data lives in NoSQL and now you want to do analytics on it. What are your options? ETL, ELT, some other abbreviation? What if you had another option? In this talk, Philip will walk you through his journey utilizing Azure Synapse Link to query NoSQL data at the source using SQL: allowing joins, giving the promise of (almost) real-time data, and no longer having to ETL data from one source to another, along with some of the challenges and lessons learned from the "Schemaless Schema".

**Bio:**
Philip has worked as a Software Developer for the last 9 years in different domains and for the last 5 years has specialized in Cloud, Data, Integration, and Identity. He holds multiple Cloud and Data certifications and is a lifelong technology enthusiast and constant learner. On the non-technical side he is an avid yogi and recently trained yoga instructor.

Collective behavior (clustering, flocking, milling, swarming and synchronization, etc), also known as self organization, is the emergence of global patterns from local interactions of agents in complex systems. It can be observed in physics (super conductivity), chemistry (liquid crystals), biology (folding of proteins), sociology (herd behavior, groupthink), etc. It is challenging to understand such behaviors using rigorous mathematical formulas. We present a series of machine learning methods to construct dynamical systems to explain these behaviors from observation data. We demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of our methods not only through extensive numerical testings, but also via thorough theoretical analysis. Future directions of enhancements and extensions are also discussed.

**Modular AI Systems with Feature, Training, Inference Pipelines on Hopsworks - a LLMOps Tutorial**
Speaker: Jim Dowling
In this tutorial, we will introduce a unified architecture for Batch, Real-Time, and LLM AI Systems based around three independent ML pipelines -
\* a feature pipeline to create feature data,
\* a training pipeline to train your model,
\* and an inference pipeline to make predictions with new data on your trained model.
We will use this FTI architecture to walk through a tutorial of building a LLM system that uses RAG and function calling to access structured data and a model.

Jim Dowling is CEO of Hopsworks and an Associate Professor at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He is lead architect of the open-source Hopsworks Feature Store platform and the organizer of the annual feature store summit. He is writing a book for O'Reilly on Building AI systems with a Feature Store - batch, real-time, and LLMs.
