Are you learning Mandarin Chinese and want an opportunity to practice with others? Or perhaps you are a Mandarin speaker and would like to meet people who are interested in your culture. (Five Years of Portland Mandarin Meetup Friends - YouTube)
Join us to practice spoken Mandarin as well as discussing Chinese language, culture and history. This is not a strict mandarin-only conversation group. But it is our hope that you make every effort so use mandarin. After an hour or so we often switch to English to give English learners a chance.
Since there is often a wide range of skills, some amount of patience is required to help each other with vocabulary and pronunciation.
Please note, this is not a class! It is a discussion group and most useful to those who are actively studying Mandarin.
