What we’re about

Welcome to the grass roots, people-powered, community calendar of events for the Tantra Community in Portland!

There are several important differences between this and most other Meetups. The most important difference is that COMMUNITY MEMBERS CAN CREATE AND ANNOUNCE MEETUP EVENTS - Due to current MeetUp guidelines, you must become an "Event Organizer" to post events.

EVERY SINGLE EVENT ORGANIZER can post ANY EVENT on the Community Calendar - And can announce it to the entire community once your event is posted.

How to create a Meetup event in the Portland Tantra Community Calendar:

1. Join the Community.
2. Send a message to the organizer, requesting to be added as an "Event Organizer."
3. Event Organizers may add Meetups by clicking the red "Create Event" tab on the main page.
4. Meetups added by Event Organizers are turned into official Meetups immediately.
5. Meetups with a date selected will appear on the Calendar
6. Meetups without a date selected will appear only on the 'Upcoming' Meetups list on the Meetup Group's home page .
7. Event Organizers who add a Meetup may choose to announce it to the group's members.

These are powerful community building tools. Please use them responsibly.

**It is very important that we all work together to create a safe and respectful group where community members can have fun and build trust in one another through creating a culture that uses compassionate communication and asks for consent. Please be mindful that the Portland Tantra Community Organizer and Event Organizers do not screen every event posted on the Portland Tantra Community Calendar. The Event Organizer of the particular event that you are attending is solely responsible for what occurs during their event(s). Please always use your own discernment. If you attended an event where you felt unsafe, please report it to the Organizer immediately.**

This is our community. Let's nurture and care for it.

In order to keep our community as safe as possible and in taking good care of each other:
**If it is reported that a community member violates clearly communicated boundaries or consent, they will be either asked to sit in mediation or will be immediately banned from the group, depending upon the severity of the violation.**
