Hike the I&M Canal from William G. Stratton State Park, 6, 8 or 10 mile options

This is not a beginner's hike. We will be hiking at a fast and rigorous pace. You are responsible for your own pace and ability to see yourself back to your vehicle, please do not expect that we will accommodate a slower pace. We will. We are setting out to meet our personal goals for time and distance.

We will head West down the I & M canal and turn around at the 3 mile point to accommodate anyone preferring to complete 6 miles. We may venture off the canal path to see some sights of interest along the canal. We will then continue East on the canal towards Armstrong Rd. Total miles will be dependent on the groups preference, but I am intending to hike a total of 8-10 miles.

Please bring:
Comfortable hiking/walking shoes
Wear wicking socks to avoid blisters
Plenty of drinking water, know your own needs but no less than 2 liters
Dress in layers according to the weather forecast
A snack
