Welcome to our group of creative and talented photographers. Our mission is to help you explore your photographic potential. We are now a combined group (over 15,000 photographers worldwide) along with the Art Of Photography International, with much of our membership having participated in each others events over many years. As such, we would like to invite you to join us in our numerous educational and social activities currently being posted, with much more to come. We look forward to your participation.

MORIKAMI MUSEUM & JAPANESE GARDENS PHOTOSHOOT
❌ No T.A.O.P.I. Zoom Session on Photoshoot Day ❌
Join us at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 at 10:00AM and be ready to practice or learn techniques of landscape and other styles of photography in a tranquil and inspiring garden setting.
LEADERS/ORGANIZERS for this photoshoot are Steve Gelineau and Ken Tyson, both of whom have many years of photography experience and have made one-artist presentations of their work to TAOPI.

The cost of admission to Morikami is $16.00 per person for adults ($14.00 for seniors, $12.00 for military & veterans) Morikami members are free.
Ample free parking is available. There are restroom facilities, a Café and Store on the property.
!!! We will meet outside the main entrance building at 10:00am. The organizers will be available to show a few of their B&W and color print images from previous visits to Morikami as ideas for photoshoot participants. The organizers will also be available to assist participants with technical questions or guidance challenges. Walk the grounds alone or in groups, and at your own pace. Stay as long as you like.
RAIN DATE
In the event of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled to Sunday May 4th at the same time. Look for a notice on the TAOPI Meetup site.
LOCATION: Morikami is located off Jog Road in Delray Beach.

The 16 acres that make up the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens include expansive gardens with strolling paths, resting areas, a world class bonsai collection, a lake teeming with koi and other wildlife. The gardens reflect the major periods of Japanese garden design from the eighth to the 20th century. Look for photo opportunities at the Memorial Bridge, Wisdom Ring, Ancient Gate, Stone Lantern, Bonsai Collection, Dragon Waterfall, Yamato Island, Bamboo Grove, and Rock Garden.

IMPORTANT: Morikami policy states: Personal photography is permitted in the gardens and we encourage guests to share their experience on social media using #morikami. However, photographers may only carry a hand-held camera. Any additional photography equipment, such as tripods, monopods, lights, as well as wardrobe changes are prohibited.
PHOTO CHALLENGE:
Once the Meetup ends, we will create an album on the Meetup site for you to post up to three (3) of your best photographs from the event. One winning photo will become the permanent album cover for the event. Anyone clicking the photo will see the winner's name, photograph title and feedback the image received from other photographers. Honorable Mentions will also be awarded.
Please be aware that we do not accept sexually explicit or suggestive photos.##
