Albany Tulip Festival

Hard to guess best time to schedule this event as it depends on when the tulips are blooming. The last two years we have been very lucky. We will shoot for May 8th but date could change if flowers seem to be blooming late this year.

The annual tulip festival offers lost of fun opportunities for photographers. I like to go when the crowds are not there. I chose the Thursday evening hoping for good weather and that the tulips will be in full bloom. I am partial to shooting in the golden hour. We will meet at the Moses statue in middle of the Washington Park in Albany. Sunset is about 8:00 that evening so I imagine we will be shooting for a couple hours.

Bring a tripod and lenses of your choice . I may even bring a water spray bottle.
