Details

PATC's Women July event will be indoors this month exploring Luray Caverns.

Luray Caverns is the largest cavern in the eastern United States, yet walking through it feels unlike any place on Earth.

Visit Geology’s Hall of Fame. Take a tour along lighted paved walkways that lead you through cathedral-sized rooms with ceilings 10 stories high, towering stone formations, and natural wonders at every turn.

A self-guided tour of the Caverns takes a little over an hour. However, it is recommend allowing 2-3 hours to tour the Caverns and experience the other attractions included with your general admission ticket.

Admission for the caverns is $34.00 and will be the responsibility of each participant. The fee Includes the Luray Caverns Self-Guided Tour, the Car & Carriage Caravan Museum, Shenandoah Heritage Village, and Toy Town Junction.

For those who wish to enjoy lunch at the caverns, they offer two options. The Stalactite Cafe provides a fast food style menu and service. It’s located next to Toy Town Junction. And in the Burner Barn at the Shenandoah Heritage Village, the Heartpine Cafe is a Bistro-style restaurant serving fast casual dining. Bon appétit!

After lunch, for those who wish to explore The Town of Luray, we will walk around exploring the town and enjoying the small town.
