CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST
Join me for a SunRISE hike with Scripture to meditate on while we hiking up, up, up, to the top of Ontario (Avila) Ridge where we hope to enjoy sweeping ocean views and maybe find a hidden swing or two amongst the oak trees and will be descending the hill near Pirate's Cove (Cave Landing). My portion of the hike will end there. If you'd like to continue on to make the loop you may take the Bluff Trail back to our starting point. It'll be dark at the start so you must bring your flashlights or head lamps.

Please note this is NOT a beginners hike AND we'll have 2 starting and ending times and locations! Continue reading!

Please arrive early to stretch or find parking as we want to get our boots-on-the-trail by 6:15am.

Distance: about 2.25 miles Elevation gain: about 700 feet
Pace: ~2.65-3 mph

6:15am Meet on El Portal Rd at Shell Beach Dr. There is usually street parking available at the start of El Portal Rd.
6am If you'd like to carpool from the Pirates Cove parking lot back to El Portal rather than walking back then please meet us at 6am at the Pirates Cove/Caves Landing parking lot. Please see map for more information .

• There is quite a bit of loose rock on the trail and a few very steep inclines. Wear shoes/boots with good tread.
• Trekking poles optional, but always recommended.
• Bring a flashlight or head lamp, water and layers, depending on the weather.
• Leashed dogs always welcome 🐾
