Join a fun group of NYSN members and friends as we hit the streets of the Financial District, home to spooky graveyards, legendary hauntings, and some of the grisliest events in NYC history. This interactive scavenger hunt is the perfect way to explore, learn, and socialize while uncovering the city’s eerie past!

### How It Works:

Arrive at the registration point at 7:00 PM sharp. Coming solo? No problem! We’ll place you on a team of 4-6 people.
Teams have 90 minutes to find as many clues as possible, using historic landmarks, haunted sites, and hidden markers—no planted clues!
Post-Hunt Socializing – After the hunt, we’ll gather at a set location for food, drinks, and socializing.
Prizes awarded to the team that finds the most clues!

### What Are You Looking For?

From the 1600s to today, Lower Manhattan has been the site of executions, hauntings, massacres, explosions, and mysteries. As you scour the area from Bowling Green to City Hall, you’ll visit haunted places, uncover historical secrets, and solve clues based on real events.

#### Spring has sprung in the Hudson Valley! Get out and enjoy some fresh air at one of NY State’s top attractions, The Walkway Over The Hudson. You can drive or take the Metro-North to the meeting point to enjoy an amazing day of beauty and socializing on the highest pedestrian walkway in the world!

#### How It Works:

• You will need to meet the group at the Poughkeepsie train station at 11:56am. You can take the 9:50am Metro-North train from Grand Central Terminal or drive and park in Poughkeepsie.
• Your guide will meet you in Poughkeepsie then start you on your journey. The walk will begin in the historic streets of Poughkeepsie and then we’ll head to the Mid Hudson Bridge for stunning views and the art installation Bridge Music.
• Once over the bridge we’ll make our way into Franny Reese Park to enjoy tree-lined paths and more great views.
• From there we’ll head for the short walk to The Walkway Over The Hudson State Park. Here we will stop to grab a bite at The Visitors Center.
• After lunch we’ll set out to cross The Walkway Over The Hudson, an old rail bridge built in 1889 that was converted into a walkway in 2009 with spectacular views. It is the highest pedestrian walkway in the world!
• After the walkway we will stop at a famous local bakery for treats.
• The entire process with take 4 hours.
• Expect to return to the train station in time for the 4:51pm train back to the city. You may also stay in the area and enjoy the Poughkeepsie waterfront.

#### What to bring:

• 1-2 liters of water
• Bring snacks and lunch.
• Comfortable shoes recommended

#### Not Included: train fare, other items purchased.

#### What to bring: Bring lunch and beverages. There is no option to purchase any food or drinks for the first hour of the hike and the options at the Walkway visitors center are limited.

#### What to wear: Dress for the weather. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

#### How difficult is the hike? From a technical perspective it is a level 2 or 3 as it is mostly on clear paths. From a stamina perspective it is 6 miles with some uphill walking. It is suggested that you are in good shape and have no physical issues that may hold the group back.

#### Can I come alone? Yes, most guests do! It’s a great way to meet new people.

#### Dress Code: Dress for the weather. Hiking or comfortable shoes a must. Check www.weather.gov for Poughkeepsie forecast.

During the check-in, we'll check everyone in and encourage everyone to grab a drink and mingle. Once everyone is checked in, daters will be given guidelines on where to sit, how to rotate, etc.

We will be in a private area exclusively for our event. You will have a few minutes to chat with your dates and rotate until you've met everyone in your group. You will register the names of those you are interested in and mutual matches will be notified within 24 hours. Your Information will only be shared with those you choose to connect with.

To maintain a gender balance, pre-registration is required, no walk-ins will be accepted, and no refunds will be granted within 1 week of the event.
