What do the performing arts and management consulting have in common?

Meet Gayle Turner, Radio Talk Show Host, Leadership Development Consultant, and Co-Founder and President of Storytellers Channel.

Join the conversation…

Entrepreneurs are Day 1 CEOs – Establishing culture, communicating vision, marshalling resources, and leading people. At this week’s 1 Million Cups, Gayle Turner will join John Marin to discuss his career helping people better tell their story, and how better storytelling translates into stronger communications and business results.
Turner describes his “secret sauce” as a parallel career of performing arts in theatre, films and television; as well as management consulting in Asia, Europe and the U.S. His work now focuses on leadership development, aligning culture and strategy, and using the power of story to compel action. He is an acclaimed Toastmaster, and currently broadcasting through IBGR.network.

The Discussion. 1 Million Cups is a national entrepreneurship program of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, which promotes peer learning and professional connections that assist entrepreneurs. Since 2014 and over 375 meetups, 1 Million Cups - Richmond has been pioneered by RVA Works. At each 1 Million Cups, business founders as guest speakers share about their ventures and discuss the challenges that they are facing during the development process. Participants can learn from the speakers’ experiences, discuss valuable insights and make connections within an audience of peer entrepreneurs.
