Open Eugene (formerly EugeneTech)

Note: This is a weekly networking event that happens every week, rain or shine. Sometimes attendance is light and sometimes we spill out into the street - the more the merrier!

Join the @OpenEugene community every Tuesday and support downtown businesses by having a drink at The Barn Light. Food is available at the bar, next door at Slice, around the corner at Killer Burger, or at any of the nearby downtown restaurants.

This group is come-as-you-are and drop in / drop out any time you feel like it. Don't bring a resume - but if you make a friend we encourage networking.

To support Downtown businesses (TBL) we will be following any restrictions they choose to place on masks and gatherings, in addition to any restrictions still in place for the State or County. If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and hang out with us a different week.

Join us for Working Open Wednesday, an engaging and collaborative meetup event where you can work on your project with others, get or provide peer mentoring while building a community.

Sometimes we will be tuning in to Virtual Civic Hack Night (SF Civic Tech) on the big screen to see how other groups are building their open project communities.

CodeChops Software Mentoring offers multiple Open Eugene civic projects that require continuous progress, as well as a game (from the last game-jam) for those interested in a playful challenge. Whether you bring your own project or choose to contribute to an existing one by building modules, you're sure to find a fulfilling task.

This event presents a wonderful opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals in real life (IRL), get valuable feedback, and learn how to contribute to Open Source. Come hang out, share your ideas, and experience the joy of collaborative coding in a supportive environment. We look forward to seeing you there!
