May Day snow hiking at Hurricane Ridge, ONP

Details
*weather and road conditions permitting*
Hike starts at 11am on the Ridge.
Meet at Olympic National Park Visitor's Center in Port Angeles at 10am for voluntary carpooling. The 17 mile road up to Hurricane Ridge should be open and free of snow. Show a National Park Pass at the fee station. Let me know if you plan to meet us at the top at 11am so we are not waiting for you at the Visitor's Center in PA. Please indicate in the comments if you can drive and/or need a ride.
Groups are limited to 12 people in the park, so please RSVP only if you plan to attend.
This is an approximate 6 mile round-trip, out and back hike with about 1,000 feet of elevation gain/loss. We start at the main parking lot and walk down the road towards the lower lot, then up the trail to Hurricane Hill. I'm not sure how much snow there will be by then, so bring micro-spikes. If the snow is still too deep, we may not make it all the way.
Sorry, no dogs allowed.
Please check the webcam at Hurricane Ridge and the weather forecast for more information. They will post the road status by 9am. If the forecast changes or the road is closed, we will hike Heart of the Forest Trail instead.
