Pub quiz: Fox & Grapes

Details
Let's try one of Nottingham's best-run pub quizzes - The Big Foxy Quiz at the Fox and Grapes pub in Sneinton Market. Al Needham (former editor of Left Lion magazine) has been doing these quizzes for many years and has it down to a fine art. Regular rounds include a picture round, "On This Day in 'Istreh (History)", current affairs, the top 10 of something, recognition of TV signature tunes and pop songs, a special theme round, and a Lucky Bag of Randomness. Total 42 questions.
It lasts from about 8 till 10:30; we'll be there from 7:30 on reserved tables to have some preparation time. Entry is £1 per person; if we get a lot of attendees we will split into two teams. There are drink prizes for the top three teams plus a bonus question game with a money prize. If you'd like to pre-swot: it may help to study flags (one question is always about the colours on a national flag), the news over the previous week and historical events on the date of the quiz.
The pub is excellent for beers and food is available till 9. There's a lot of free parking in the area north-east of Sneinton Market (Carlton Road, Bath St., Roden St.) or alternatively you could try the Lace Market multistorey. There are a few bus routes that pass by such as 43, 25, 39 but for most people coming from the city centre it will be easier to walk. I look forward to seeing you there.
