Coast Walk South Carlsbad Beach and Stairs

Join us for some fun in the sun at South Carlsbad Campground and stairs. The Carlsbad coast is beautiful and the ocean views provide a really nice backdrop. This walk is approximately 5 miles give or take. It is an easy walk which includes sidewalks, sand and dirt. It could take approximately 2.5 hours. If you add the four staircases it makes this walk more intermediate. Your choice, but I love the stairs. Incorporating the staircases will provide a more well rounded experience and some challenge to the walk. The stairs are really helpful for toning our buns and thighs, right ladies, who doesn't need that!
If anyone is interested and the tide allows beach walking is possible.
DIRECTIONS PLEASE READ:
The dirt parking lot is NOT accessible from Palomar Airport Road, please pay close attention to the driving directions: I-5 (heading north or south): Exit Cannon Rd, head toward ocean (west), left onto Carlsbad Blvd/Coast Highway, continue south for 0.7 mi, dirt parking lot on the left. Carlsbad Village (heading south only): From Carlsbad Village Dr and Carlsbad Blvd/Coast Hwy, head south on Carlsbad Blvd/Coast Hwy 2.5 mi, the dirt parking lot is located on the left (east) side of Coast Hwy at Palomar Airport Rd. NOTE: You must head south on Carlsbad Blvd/Coast Hwy to access the lot! Will also add a map for this event.
