About the North Country Herbalist Guild

www.nchg.org

The North Country Herbalist Guild is a non–profit organization dedicated to promoting education in the practice of therapeutic herbalism.

Our mission is to serve as a resource to the community and to create a network of support and communication among herbalists in the upper Midwest.

Our programs are designed to encourage ethical collection and preservation techniques and to promote education that increases awareness of ecological balance and a healthy environment. The North Country Herbalist Guild sponsors monthly meetings that take place on the first Wednesday of every month (except January and July). The meetings are open to the Guild’s membership and the public. At each of these meetings we sponsor a local speaker who discusses topics designed to advance the study of the therapeutic use of herbs.

Lectures are from 7:00 to 8:30 pm on the second Wednesday of the month (except January and July). One or two of our summer meetings are plant walks.

The North Country Herbalist Guild makes every effort to present a broad educational program and to make these programs available and affordable. Local speakers, members, and board members all donate their time in these efforts. Meetings are open to the public with a suggested donation of five dollars, however no one will be turned away. Members attend meetings at no charge.
