What we’re about
In 1992, the USFS granted the Nooksack Nordic Ski Club (NNSC) a Voluntary Services agreement to provide and maintain a quality groomed, non-motorized winter recreation trail system for the public in northwestern Washington that we call Salmon Ridge. We also provide educational classes and programs pertaining to winter recreation and cross couski clinics for those wishing to learn or improve their skills. Funding is provided through grants awarded by the WA State Parks and Recreation Commission through the Winter Recreation Program, the National Recreational Trails Program, and through the efforts of countless volunteers who dedicate their labor to provide this service. Intermingled in all this, we have fun! Our members go on lots of ski trips to our “home” trails at Salmon Ridge and to many other locations.
