What we’re about
Nomads is an advanced level competitive badminton club based in Clapham/Battersea (SW11). We play in the Middlesex and Hammersmith Leagues and attend tournaments organised by local clubs and the Badminton England circuit.
Club sessions run every Thursday from 7-9pm on 4 courts at St John Bosco College, and we play our home matches at the same venue on weekends.
Sessions are £9 and we currently use Yehlex Feather shuttles. Doubles and mixed doubles are played, though singles is an option if there is a spare court and a willing opponent!
We are a very sociable club so inevitably end up at the local pub after sessions. In addition we have social events throughout the year and have been known to combine tournaments with a fun weekend away in the UK or abroad.
RSVPs
We are often oversubscribed so RSVPs are mandatory. Please don't just show up unless one of the organisers has agreed to it. The MeetUp payment system doesn't allow waiting lists so please let us know as soon as possible if you can't make it, so we can offer the spot out.
No shows or cancellations within 24 hrs will be charged in full unless their spot is taken by someone else. We reserve the right to turn away anyone who hasn’t signed up.

Due to the popularity of our sessions, we unfortunately have limited space for new members. However we will consider taking on strong players, so if you are interested please join the Meetup group, or get in touch directly at info.nomadsbc@gmail.com. Please confirm with an organiser that there is space before coming down to a session.
New members - please check with us before adding a +1 to your RSVP as we may need spots for match training during league season.
