Outdoors in Utrecht

For those who'd like to play around with a camera (actual camera or phone camera) and join a photography-themed excursion, we're trying out a new type of event.

The concept is to meet at Utrecht Centraal train station (and the train station closest to our destination) and later head to our destination, going through scenic routes. When we reach our destination area, we can split and explore the area and then meet again at a rendezvous point

For first-timers (or as a helpful reminder 😉), I recommend that you wear a comfy outfit & shoes and bring water & a snack or two. You don't have to bring an actual camera (especially if it's your first time!), nowadays you can take decent to great photos with your phone's camera too!

Depending on the time & weather, and whether people are up for it, follow-up drinks & dinner can always happen later that day.

Yet another chance to try Argentinian tango if you're interested. Hopefully, the weather will be more appropriate this time! 🙏

Original event's context:
Most dances are well represented in Utrecht's expat community, especially salsa/bachata/kizomba. One of those exceptions is Argentian tango, which (as many may know in the community), I've been dancing for a while now 😊

Maybe you had as a bucket list item to try a new dance out, or maybe you've seen others dance tango and you were curious to try it out, or perhaps you want to see what is this thing that I'm (constantly) talking about. In any of these cases, here's a chance to try out this wonderful dance or at least use the chance to have an outdoor get-together in a different setting than usual.

Here's the plan:
- Meeting point is Perron 9, a roofed area so we're not worried about rain; only if it's cold/windy

- From 15:45 to 17:30, free tryout for anyone curious
- After that, if the group's willing, we can have a small relaxing (or dancing) time; I can personally stay until 19:00
If someone happens to be able to join the event later but still wants to try the dance out, I'll see if I can help!

Another year, another May will pass when this wonderful community will be 2 years old 🥳
I'd like to, once again, invite you to celebrate with me the anniversary of our lovely community during Sunday of May's long weekend (Monday 20th is a public holiday!) 😊

Building from last year, here's the array of activities (so far!) which you can (optionally) participate in! 😊
- We begin with a usual picnic get-together. Feel free to bring your drinks & food, and BBQ grills!
- After a while, an array of active things to do!
---> Bring anything sports-related like a football, trampoline, volleyball, frisbee, and more!
---> There'll be a corner of the park where we can set up board/card games.
---> Do you have water guns? May weather should be warm enough for some random and cooling fun 😊
---> One of our initial park ideas; at a certain point in time, we can share with each other food from a certain (our) culture!
---> A small moment to celebrate the group's birthday. We can share sweet treats at that time! ✌
---> After the announcement, I'll be taking a moment or two so that you can get to know me more than the usual 5 minutes of hosting interaction
---> In the evening, either in the park or in a club/pub we can celebrate with drinks and glowsticks!
---> many more activities on my mind, so stay tuned!

Crossing my fingers for good weather, but if the (NL) weather's not that good, the event will be moved to another day.
