Part 1: Building Stateless Mendix Apps at COA
At COA, multiple systems of record led to conflicting data across applications. To resolve this, COA is moving towards a new microservices architecture: one centralized system of record, exposed via an Azure API Management layer, and multiple stateless Mendix apps — each focused on a specific business process.
By designing these apps to be stateless and fully reliant on real-time data, COA is ensuring data consistency, scalability, and flexibility in development. This approach introduces new ways of thinking about performance, non-persistent data handling, and user interaction — requiring smart design choices and close collaboration with stakeholders.
In this session, we’ll walk through how we built one of the first stateless Mendix apps in this landscape, the considerations we made, and the lessons we’ve learned along the way.

Please enter the Valcon office from street level, not from the parking garage. A clear meetup banner and host will be there to register and welcome you into our office.
