[Eindhoven / Anne & Max Café] Creative Writing Feedback

This is an in-person 'face-2-face' meeting at Anne & Max Café in Eindhoven!

- Only RSVP if you intend to be at the meeting in Eindhoven, or cancel in advance if you know you can't make it. We often have a waitlist and we want to give everyone a chance to attend these sessions. -

Summary
This is a monthly meeting where we meet in-person to discuss and give feedback on each other’s writing pieces of any genre (e.g. fiction, non-fiction, poetry, screenwriting etc.).
Before the meeting, people submit their work and everyone reviews them before the meeting. No works aided by use of AI or generated by AI are accepted. We present our feedback to each other during the meeting. Anyone can submit, but you don't have to submit in order to attend.

How to submit

• If you RSVP that you will attend the event, then a few days before the meeting, you will receive a google doc link via email where you can upload your work (if you want).
• Submit pieces of max. 2000 words (roughly).
• Include a short introduction where you mention the genre, any background the reader should know, and perhaps the kinds of feedback you'd like, e.g., encouragement, plot, language, overall, etc.
• In case your piece contains any sensitive content (e.g., violence, abuse, assault, gory details, etc.), please include this as trigger a warning (TW) at the top of the text, so that the readers know what to expect.

Feedback guidelines

• Please be respectful of each other’s work. (Tip: don't just critique someone's work, but focus on constructive feedback as well as mentioning positive things.)
• Read the pieces and prepare your feedback beforehand. This can include digital notes or written notes, which you can present during the meeting.
• All work that is shared is confidential and only belongs to the author. So, please do not share or distribute others' work without the explicit permission of the author.
