Hi, All! I am taking over as the new group organizer, as I used to be an admin on two groups in Michigan. I am a sassy transplant from the Great Lakes State who looks forward to getting to know you all. I arrived in Eugene on Labor Day of 2022 and am no expert on the area, but I am going to do my best to arrange fun events. Let's explore the area together, form friendships and have a good time.
Special note: I take participation very seriously. Before you sign up for an event, be sure you can attend. Running a Meetup can take serious effort and it isn't considerate if you bail on events that you previously indicated you were going to. Please be courteous and provide 24+ hours notice if you are going to cancel. Much thanks!

There ALREADY is a long-time grp like this in Eugene but it died out during the Pandemic, unfortunately along with some of it's members. Quite a shock for all! Now some of us are just unofficially mtg. for lunch once a month, have a bridge grp. & bk. discussion grp. once every month. Many would like to see it resurrected to an even former, better self. We used to do day trips, have local non-profit speakers, movie grp., monthly newsletters, etc. We were VERY welcoming as ALL of knew what it was like to be new to the area, BAD allergies, included! Come join us, again. Suggestions for activities are VERY welcome. Help me/us welcome ourselves to the area. How about some Tai chi & yoga, too. I learned about this grp. 17+ yrs. ago which is now defunct.😔
