Git integration within Microsoft Fabric offers data professionals the ability to seamlessly merge their development workflows, tools, and established best practices directly into the Fabric platform.
This feature supports developers working on Fabric by enabling:
* The backing up and versioning of their projects
* The ability to revert to earlier versions when necessary
* The option to collaborate with teammates or work independently via Git branches
* The use of well-known source control functionalities to oversee Fabric componentsWe will also look at deployment of SQL Database within Fabric from Source Control.
The session will begin with an introduction to Git and analytics platforms such as Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, outlining the fundamentals of each tool and their respective roles in the analytics lifecycle. It will highlight the importance of version control in data analytics and the unique challenges faced when managing analytics projects, such as tracking changes in data sources, queries, and reports.
