Welcome to New York Dodgeball! Our goal is to provide a platform to meet, be social, and play dodgeball! There are free pick up events as well as full season dodgeball leagues. After dodgeball we'll go to a local bar for further socialize/drinking games. So if you're looking to be social, be active, and meet new people, this is the place for you!
As we are new and starting out, it's worth mentioning a few items of importance.
First, this is a social/recreational environment. We all know that person who trash talks or head hunts, and this is not the group for them! The goal is to build a community and have fun. Eventually there will be more competitive play, but the primary purpose is to be social. That being said, my aim for this group is to be a safe space, where everyone should feel welcome and allowed to be themselves.
Second, Covid. It's likely here to stay, and after 2 years, its important to acknowledge that reality. That being said, I do take Covid seriously. There will be signups for contract tracing, and we will abide by all state/local guidelines. At this time vaccinations cards are required, and masks may or may not be required given the type of event (If we are outside, no masks unless local guidelines say otherwise). Also, I will clean all equipment every night to ensure sanitary conditions.
