The New Horizons Network is a job search network support group. Founded in 2003, it is committed to assisting people who are pursuing employment with Rochester, N.Y. area companies and beyond, as well as those interested in Self-employment or retirement alternatives.
It provides a forum for assistance in the areas of Transition Skills [resume and elevator speech preparation, interviewing, networking, social media, etc] as well as health benefits and insurance, credit counseling, investment decisions and alternatives, self employment opportunities [eg. Franchising], etc.
New Horizons Network meets weekly, starting with 'Light Networking' at 8 AM at The Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, 1957 Five Mile line Road, about 1 mile North of the Penfield four corners. It is located on the SW corner of Five Mile Line and Whalen Roads, in Penfield. The business meeting continues from 8:30 - 10 :15 AM.
Meetings follow a common agenda format that is distributed every Sunday night to attendees who have signed an Attendance Sheet at a prior meeting.
