What we’re about
We meet to speak Nepali in a friendly and supportive environment on Zoom. Our events are suitable for intermediate, advanced, and native speakers of Nepali; but If you're a total beginner (although you may not follow everything), you're welcome to give us a try.
We are open to suggestions for topics and activities, including chitchat, analysis of Nepali language or culture, language learning exercises, short film viewing, singing or translating songs, reading poems, and anything else! If you have a suggestion, please DM the organizers.
We also have a WhatsApp group that we are using to share resources. If you're interested in joining, please DM one of our organizers.
To attend our meetings, first join the group, RSVP to an event, and you'll receive the Zoom link. We are just getting started, and expect to grow in the next year! We are also open to adding more organizers.
Note that our Zoom link may change from week to week because we have several different organizers. If you have any trouble joining, please double check the Meetup page for the correct link for our most recent Meetup.
Please try to optimize your Zoom sound and internet connection before joining the meeting, as clear sound helps make speaking another language easier!
