MEAN GIRLS-themed Adult Recess!
Edward Rendon Sr. Park at Festival Beach, 10 Chicon Street, Austin 78702, Austin, TX, USOn October 3rd, we're going to make fetch happen.
This Adult Recess will be Mean Girls themed,
so expect our usual ridiculous combination of movement, nostalgia, and games... but with a Mean Girls twist.Our games will be inspired from scenes, characters, quotes, and themes from the 2004 classic cinema- Mean Girls!
You might find yourself trying to avoid getting hit by a Burn Book, proving your worth in the cafeteria,
or discovering that on Wednesdays we wear pink.Actually, on October 3rd we wear pink.
Everyone is encouraged to come dressed in pink 🩷If you don't wear pink, you legally cannot play with us.
Just kidding.
...unless you're wearing sweatpants on a Monday.
Then we might have to talk 😂As always, this isn't a sports league and you don't need to be athletic, coordinated, competitive, or cool.
Come ready to be sarcastically catty, a little ridiculous, and play like you're still in school.All ages and fitness levels welcome. You don't have to know the movie by heart to participate, but honestly... if you don't know what a Burn Book is, I'm not sure if this recess will land for you 😆
What to expect:
- Brief introductions and warm-up games to loosen up.
- Movement-oriented, childhood-inspired games with unique twists!
- We play for FUN not for SPORT! All ages and fitness levels welcome.
- Probably some quotes that we all somehow still remember 20 years laterplease bring your own water! (There is a water fountain nearby)
There's plenty of shade amongst the trees but you may want to bring some sunscreen for the time we'll be spending out in the open.
The drop-in rate for this event is $10
