Join the Audubon Society of Northern Virginia (ASNV) for light refreshments and adorable animal friends at the beautiful Potomac Overlook Regional Park. Meet us at James I. Mayer Center for Environmental Education. Everyone is welcome!
Live animal guests will include Smoke, an Eastern Screech Owl and Sugar, a Corn Snake. This is a great opportunity for a close-up look at some local wildlife. NOVA Parks Roving Naturalist Matt Felperin will give a brief presentation on Eastern Screech Owls, a beautiful and elusive bird that lives right here in northern Virginia.
This is also your BEST chance to learn about Birdathon, our Spring birding competition that is super friendly for beginners! Teams of 2-5 participants go on a birding marathon, trying to count as many species as possible during any 24-hour period between April 20 and May 19. All birding levels are welcome!
