NEW JERSEY'S ULTIMATE SINGLE'S MEET-UP GROUP, WHERE THE FUN NEVER STOPS!
Spring is finally here! Join MINGLE AROUND SINGLES as we enjoy weekly hikes outdoors in nature. Each week, we will walk, hike or stroll at a different hidden gem of nature in the local area.
This week we will enjoy an easy short nature stroll at the WYCKOFF WILDLIFE CENTER. The James A. McFaul Environmental Center is dedicated to providing a space where Bergen County residents can learn about and experience the natural environment. The Bergen County Parks Department took what used to be a 81-acre pig farm and created a wildlife sanctuary with nature trails, gardens, and educational science exhibits.
We will meet at the edge of the parking lot in front of the pond near the museum at 4pm. Between the parking lot and the pond, there are some rescued animals that we will stop and visit followed by an easy 1-2 mile walk through the woods on a boardwalk type stroll leading up to an overlook, of the lake, where we will stop, talk, snack and hydrate and take photos. Be sure to stop and look to your left for rescued birds, deer and other animals in this natural habitat sanctuary.
After we have completed the nature walk, we will walk back to the parking area, where we will then walk the perimeter of the park on the paved road within the park to check out the cherry blossoms and other pretty gardens.
This is another beautiful park and hidden gem that you do not want to miss!
Wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring a bottle of water.
We can go out for a bite to eat afterwards in the local area (optional).
DON'T BE SINGLE...COME OUT AND MINGLE!
EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
