This is a combined event with two other groups I lead and therefore will be mixed.
Meet at the Ben Nevis Visitor Centre car park at Achintee on the east side of Glen Nevis about 2 km from the town centre of Fort William.
We will be driving up to Fort William early Saturday 23 August, climbing Ben Nevis early Sunday 24 August, and returning to MK on Bank Holiday Monday 25 August.
The drive up is expected to take around 8/9 hours.
Please book accommodation around Fort William as early as you can if you're interested. Some sites offer Free cancellation until closer to the date, but at least you can book your room in advance. There are currently several places available on Booking.com
This is a steep climb and is suitable for people with a good fitness level. Good footwear and thick socks are crucial, with at least 2 litres of water (electrolytes are also recommended - message me if you need advice on this), food, snacks and suitable first aid in case of grazes, blisters, etc. Walking poles are useful if you have these.
The climb itself is around 1350 m and it is anticipated we will take around 9 hours including the descent and breaks.
If you need any advice at all or have any questions, add a comment, send me a message on Messenger or WhatsApp me on 07734351070.
I will be creating a WhatsApp group for you to add yourselves to discuss car shares, what to bring, etc. WhatsApp link will follow.
There is a £4 charge for this event. Please bring on the day.
