OCC Highland Lakes Campus walk about and update

This is a “call-to-action” event that will include information about The OCC (Oakland Community College), Highland Lakes Campus property and its future use. The campus is closing and the land being sold off. Community leaders want to save the green space, not see more housing developments. (The Luellen R Woughter Nature Reserve is located on this property)

Schedule:
1:00pm: meet for an update on the state of the property.
1:15pm: short easy walk of the grounds (1 mile on campus sidewalks and parking lots)
2:00pm: 3 mile hike (with options to turn back sooner) through the Luellen R Woughter Nature Reserve.

Directions to the meeting place: From M59 turn south on Hospital Road, drive 1 ¾ miles to Woodland Drive (North parking lot entrance for Oakland Community College) From Union Lake Road: Turn left on hospital road, drive ¾ of a mile and turn left onto Woodland Drive (North parking lot entrance for Oakland Community College)
