Metropolitan Walkers is part of the Ramblers, Britain's walking charity. All welcome for 3 'taster' walks, after which please join the Ramblers - info on the Met Walkers website

Slightly shorter variant of the longer version of the walk which will also be running today. This walk takes in Leith Hill, Holmbury Hill and Hurt Wood.

Route will mostly be on woodland trails and farm tracks. Occasional short section on road. A couple of steep but short climbs are in the route.

Holmwood Station does not have not public toilets, please make use of outbound station or train facilities. Please bring a packed lunch - it will be a picnic lunch in a picnic area, no toilets other than the cover of woodland available.

This walk will meet up with the other group at the end in Gomshall where there is the opportunity for a pub refreshments.

Travel: Take the 10:41 from London Victoria (Clapham Junction 10:48, Balham 10:53), arrive Holmwood 11:47.

Buy a return to Holmwood and a single from Gomshall to Dorking Main for the return leg.

Grading: Moderate.
