A Day of Mindful Living: Inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh’s Practice
Thich Nhat Hanh often encouraged practitioners to dedicate one full day each week to mindfulness, allowing us to gradually infuse the rest of our days with greater awareness and presence. In that spirit, we invite you to join us for a modern approach to this transformative practice.
Why One Day of Mindfulness?
By slowing down and tending carefully to every action—from brushing our teeth to washing dishes—we begin to see how a single day of intentional living can ripple into the remaining six days of the week. Over time, those mindful moments expand, enriching our everyday lives with clarity and peace.

### How It Works
Morning Intention & Meditation
We start our day on Zoom, setting intentions for mindful awareness. You’re welcome to share verbally or via chat—whatever feels comfortable. This initial grounding helps us begin the day with a clear focus.
Mindful Hourly Check-Ins
As we move through our typical routines—work, errands, or leisure—we pause every hour for a brief 5-minute meditation. These pauses invite us to reset and refocus, ensuring we carry mindfulness into each moment.
Evening Reflection & Meditation
We close with a longer guided meditation and a group reflection. This is a valuable time to share insights, challenges, and successes, which helps us deepen our collective understanding and strengthen our commitment to mindful living.
Flexible Participation
Feel free to drop in whenever your schedule allows. Whether you stay the entire day or just join for a few pauses, the collective energy of this group will encourage you to bring the spirit of mindfulness into every aspect of your day.
In the words of Thich Nhat Hanh, dedicating even one day each week to mindfulness can become the “lever” that lifts your entire life into a more conscious way of being.
