______________________________________________________________________ Why Men’s Yoga? "Yoga has a long rich history in India (as long as 5000 years) where a vast majority of the practitioners are men. But there is a general misconception among men in the West about yoga. When yoga is mentioned a typical man’s response is “I’m to tight to do yoga” or they say, “I should do yoga, but I don’t”. There seems to be this awkward not knowing how to get involved, what’s yoga about, nervous about being a beginner, that keeps most men from ever trying yoga. Or they do go to a yoga class and indeed there are a lot of flexible young women and they feel out of place. The work that men do together, learning together, helps build honor and respect for each other and for them self. When you look around you see men doing yoga, their bodies are similar to your body, there challenges are similar to your challenges it feels more inclusive, you feel more included and 3accepted. It is very reaffirming to see a room full of men, young, old, in good physical shape, not in such good shape, but all taking an active role in improving their health and the quality of their lives." read full article by Jonathan Bowra http://www.mensyogatribe.com/YogaForMen.pdf ______________________________________________________________________ Here’s 10 reasons why more guys should do yoga. 1. About me:
My name is RAD. I love Yoga. I love people and I love life. For me life is an adventure. Im certified HATHA YOGA teacher following the path of ANUSARA YOGA and Shiva- Shakti TANTRA. I am interested in energy healing and meditation. I am certified massage therapist and Reiki practitioner.
I know how much Yoga has influenced and changed my life and I am here to inspire you to give it a GO!
What is Anusara Yoga?
ANUSARA YOGA helps you radically change the way you look at life and recognise the infinite possibilities of your own existence WOW!
This unique method of hatha yoga, founded in 1997 by John Friend, become one of the most popular forms of yoga practiced all over the world. Its popularity may have something to do with the positivism of SHIVA - SHAKTI TANTRA philosophy. Anusara Yoga integrates biomechanical principles of alignment with the celebration of the heart and spirit.
Simply - ANUSARA ROCKS! - whenever you do Anusara class you will have a BLAST! It's a balance of playful discovery, mindfulness, challenging physical practice and inspiring philosophy. It is a slower paced yoga focusing on each pose and how to get there, to help build strength, and prevent injury. It is style that puts much emphasis on perfecting alignment, listening to your body, and working within your means as you learn and challenge yourself at your own pace.

As someone who came to both yoga and teaching relatively late (I'm 68), and without a high degree of flexibility, for me this course struck a balance between stretching and building confidence. It's obvious Rad has put in a huge amount of preparation, the course materials are very in depth, not just in anatomy and other physical aspects of yoga, but this historical, philosophical and spiritual aspects, which are very much part of yoga. The course centres on alignment teaching in Hatha Yoga, using Iyengar as the starting point, but with modern modifications. However, the course also touches on Vinyasa, Tantra Kundalini and Chair yoga. He also gives attention to pranayama and meditation teaching and practices. I would highly recommend this course to others." Steve H.
"Rad created a brilliant course for us and delivered it superbly. It was intense doing 10 hours a day but I really enjoyed it and found it transformative. the course deepened my Yoga practice, knowledge and understanding of yoga. I am now teaching with confidence and getting deeper into my yoga and meditation practice. I can thoroughly recommend this training." James H.
"Rad expertly led an awesome and intense training with patience, skill, and a huge sense of fun. Our focus was on learning to teach, and on applied anatomy to understand poses and sequencing. We also studied yoga philosophy, particularly Patanjali's Sutras in depth, giving us a solid spiritual basis for the asana and pranayama practices. It was amazing to see everyone in the group complete the course by teaching a full, unique and heartfelt yoga class to everyone else. Thank you Rad!" Rich H.
"The eloquent, determined, disciplined and knowledgeable way Rad delivered this was outstanding. The background, history, philosophy, and anatomy, were very new to me and such a rich area of development which I am continuing with. By the end of the training each student was able to give a competent 75 minute yoga session which had a philosophical theme, included the pose names in both English and Sanskrit, clear instructions, leading pace and able to offer adjustments to the other students. This also included teaching breath and meditation. I was stunned by the achievements of the students. My personal goals of understanding so much more and improving my confidence and being able to hold space for others has been achieved several fold. I have also learnt so much more about myself in the process. I consider myself very fortunate to have been through this process with Rad and consider him to be an extremely competent teacher and mentor of teachers."
