What we’re about
The Los Angeles Swing Dance Club was founded in 1970. About 90% of our music is for West Coast Swing Dancing. We have a variety of Live Bands, and an occasional DJ (Currently the well known Steve Salazar) Our purpose is to promote the Classic style of West Coast Swing Dancing to those who appreciate a smooth, classy, patterned, slotted, and safer dance style than being around dancers doing the Flying Lindy! In addition to having a free 1/2 hour Basic, and 1/2 hour Intermediate WCS Dance lesson (with paid admission) before each dance, we encourage all West Coast Swing Dancers to come dance with our very experienced and friendly dancers that often attend our dances on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each Month from 1-4 p.m. (The Lessons are at 1-2 p.m.) We have Opportunity drawings, and a winning member at each dance. It is a good, safe environment with free parking, and only 2 minutes from the 91 Fwy off-ramp at Knott Ave. Come join us for a good time, with fun people, great music, and a full Bar too!
