What we’re about
Welcome to the meetup home of the Los Angeles and Long Beach Hash House Harriers.
We are two groups of people interested in hiking, running, drinking, exploring, and raunchy humor.
Los Angeles Hash House Harriers (LAH3) runs every Saturday afternoon, starting at a different place every week throughout LA county.
Long Beach Hash House Harriers (LBH3) runs on Sunday mornings during the winter and Thursday evenings during the summer in Long Beach and the surrounding communities
Come join us on our next hash!
Typically we have 30-60 people on trail, Meet Up is not our usual organizational method, so don't be concerned if you only see a couple RSVPs. But...
What is Hashing?
You have just stumbled upon an international phenomenon, where a group of people, “Hashers”, follow a trail that has been marked by the “Hare”. This trail leads to beer, water, snacks and a lot of camaraderie. Some people run, some people walk, but they all follow these marks along streets, trails, and off the beaten path until they find a beer stop. Now, there is water there too, but we’re really known as a Drinking Club with a Running Problem. Anyone with an open mind aged 2 to 99 is welcome! Participating costs $5, and we run every week, year round, rain or shine.
What are LA Hash trails like?
Typically, around 5 miles, dog are often welcome! Our hashers cooperate to follow trail and find the beer. We stay and socialize at each beer stop for about 15 min. Hash trails might include a mix of urban and mountain terrain, bar stops, and outdoor beer stops. We might explore the alleys and streets of Long Beach, hike in the Santa Barbara mountains, or any combination. We love to explore!
• What Do I Need To Do In Order To Come Out?
Nothing is needed beforehand, Just show up!
• What Do I Bring & Wear To My 1st Trail? Bring:
A well prepared liver, and a sense of adventure! Wear: Clothes and sneakers appropriate for the weather and some water is suggested. Sometimes our runs have themes, feel free to dress for the theme if so.
• Can I Still Do Trail If I Don’t Run?
Walker, jogger or runner... trail is great for all levels! So don’t be afraid to come out if you don’t run. Over half our group is walkers and/or walk-joggers.
• I'm still not sure what the hell is Hashing in the first place! Check out this wiki page for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hash_House_Harriers

**EARLY START** Trail #2337 - Metro Hash '25: Fox and Hounds
Saturday April 26, 2025 1PMStart:
10750 Bluffside Dr, Studio City, CA 91604, United States
https://maps.app.goo.gl/Noiuk6ePaMMBKYo77Hey Hashers, our Metro Hash prep (trail scouting, game design, leaning on dive bar managers for discounts, mass alcohol purchases) is well underway for the Fox and Hounds Hash, SaTURDay, April 26, starting in Studio City, walking distance from a Red Line station!
Abnormally we don't start pimping the event this early, but this is an early notice so that you can line up your costume - you can cum as foxes, hounds, hunters (thigh-high boots and riding crops for harriettes?), or whorses - and you can play any role in the hunts you like regardless of what you choose to wear.
Meanwhile, all the unusual Metro Hash features (and you) will be in play again this year: Metro rides, 9 BX's(!), dive bar visits, goofy games, and general mirth and merriment.
Despite the high cost of eggs, we're keeping the price at $19.99 if you rego and pay by noon the day before the event, otherwise $29.99 is the wank-up rate.
On On!
----$29.99 Day-of cash, or 19.99 pre-pay (24 hours before 1pm start). Reach out to me if you're a newcomer and are interested, we'll figure out how to get you pre-paid. This is a special event, almost more of a pub crawl where we follow one of the metro lines in LA, than a regular run. Bring a TAP card and we suggest you charge it with a use-all-day rate as we'll be using them.
Newcomers we recommend coming about 30 min early to so we can show you how to follow our trail markings!
PS: 6pm is an estimated end time... may last longer.
