What we’re about
I have loved coffee houses ever since they began to spring up around the greater Los Angeles area in the late 1980s. Each one is unique, with its own vision, layout, menu and vibe. Happily, new ones continue appearing throughout Long Beach and the surrounding area.
This group is for people who love coffee houses!
Some of our gatherings will be for socializing and meeting new people.
Some of our gatherings will be for studying and reading: when people want to get out of the house and do some reading or writing, but would like a little company along the way.
Members should feel free to contact me to suggest a gathering and its purpose (reading/studying, or socializing). I may ask for some co-leaders at some point.
Note: There will be a very strict NO TOLERANCE policy for: Harassment, hate speech, stalking, intolerance of others’ race, culture, gender, physical capacities, etc. This is intended to be a safe place; and people who engage in such behaviors will be removed from the group.
Please know that I am not the police and everyone participates in this group according to their own judgement, and at their own risk.
Members are expected to be self sufficient.
Also, I want to really encourage people to bring and use their own reusable cups: let’s avoid single serve “disposable” items as much as possible, please!
