🎲 A whole afternoon playing board/card games - as usual, we will have a selection of our favourites, and you're welcome to bring any you want to play. We're always happy to teach rules to newcomers, and the hosts can introduce you to other attendees if you like.ATTENDING

We have the entire of Karamel available for our event, including the theatre at the back if necessary, and they are kindly hosting us for free. Please make sure to show your support by ordering some of their delicious food and drinks.Karamel is a very short walk from Wood Green Tube station (Piccadilly Line). The entrance to the venue is step-free and there is a wheelchair-accessible toilet. Karamel is dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry friends if they'll enjoy it.
Originally founded and run by vegan activists, today it’s operated by Collage Arts (a charity supporting the local community) and managed by the lovely Kath who, together with her charming husband Roger, also prepares the delicious homemade food served there… in very generous portions ;) and not forgetting the fairly affordable prices!
For well over a decade now, Karamel has been at the heart of London’s vegan community, helping it reach its current size - for example:- giving a new home to London Vegan Drinks (a London Vegan Meetup event and Europe’s largest vegan social gathering at the time!) when it outgrew its preceding venues
- providing a welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ vegans (inclusivity and safeguarding having always been a central tenet of theirs) with Fat Gay Vegan's Queer Vegan Disco
- throwing official or de facto afterparties for many Animal Rights marches and protests
Nowadays, they host not only our sister event, the regular London Vegan Mixer (as they’ve done since its inception in early 2024), but also a lot of other wonderful events for both the local area and the wider London vegan community.

London’s biggest monthly social event is designed for vegans and their friends!
Taking place at The Veg Box Cafe on the first Wednesday of every month, London Vegan Social is the place to eat scrumptious vegan food, drink hard or soft stuff, and make friends.
The next London Vegan Social is taking place on Wednesday May 7, 2025 between 6pm and 10pm. Enter on street level and head straight upstairs! This level is only accessible via a flight of about 14 steps.
The Veg Box Cafe kitchen will be serving up delicious mains, sides, and desserts all night while their bar will be serving libations including cocktails, mocktails, kombucha, wine, beer, soft drinks, and fizz.

The Veg Box Cafe is a 100% vegan eatery serving nutritious and delicious food with a rotating daily menu including lasagne, burgers, tray baked vegetables, salads, lentils, fermented vegetables, sandwiches, and desserts.
Are all the drinks vegan?
Every single drink served at the bar is vegan!
Is there an entry fee?
Entry to London Vegan Social is FREE. Help support the restaurant by purchasing drinks and food. DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN FOOD OR DRINKS. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE WILL THIS BE PERMITTED.

Safety and inclusion
The organiser (Fat Gay Vegan) and the hosting venue will not tolerate oppressive behaviour. Offenders will be told why they are being asked to leave and not return.
