London Scuba Diving Social Group & Holiday Travel

We will depart London on Thursday 1 May 2025. We will fly from a London Airport to Miami (United States). We will then stay overnight in Miami. In the morning we will then fly from Miami, USA to Belize City. Once we arrive in Belize City will will transfer to Ambergris Caye which will be our base for the first dive location. We will then spend 3 days diving the Belize Barrier Reef and Hol Chan(Shark Alley). The Belize Barrier Reef is the 2nd largest reef in the world. At Hol Chan you will be able to dive and snorkel with Nurse Sharks, Southern Sting Rays & Barracuda. Once diving in this location is completed we will then transfer to the small Island of Caye Caulker. Caye Caulker is a fantastic small fishing village off the mainland. The picturesque location also has some fantastic diving. At this location we will have 3 dive days with access to Tuneffe Reef and also Lighthouse Reef. Turneffe Reef has some fantastic diving and is a designated marine reserve. Turneffe Atoll is the largest and the most visually spectacular of Belize’s 3 atolls, unique in the Caribbean. Many of the sites act as spawning sites for reef fish. Here you are likely to see larger reef fish, turtles and spotted eagle rays. Large schools of snappers and jacks can also be seen. Lighthouse Reef is the location for the bucket list dive site the Blue Hole. If this dive site is on your bucket list then this is the dive for you and is one of the world’s renowned dive sites. Once we have completed the diving in this area we then move back to Belize City which is a short boat transfer. We will stay over night in Belize and then undertake some amazing sightseeing on our way to the South of Belize for the last dive location. En route we will see the famous Mayan Temple Sites which will include an overnight stay at San Ignacio. After two days of sightseeing we will then end up in South Belize at a place called Hopkins. In this location we have access to the untouched sights of Glovers Reef and South Water Caye. We will have the option of 3 days diving in these locations to complete the best dive sites in the area. Once we have completed the diving here we will then road transfer back to Belize City which will take around 2 hours 30 minutes. Back in Belize we have the option of either taking a rest or undertaking some local sightseeing. There is also the option to stay at Glovers Reef for a few more days to complete more diving if desired. On the last Friday we will then depart Belize City and fly to Miami, USA. We will stay in Miami, USA for 2 nights before we return to London, UK.
This will truly be an amazing diving adventure including the best Belize has to offer.

The above basic package would not include any equipment rental requirements or national park fees. The trip is totally flexible and divers will be in a position to select the number of days diving at each location and no of days on holiday if required or we are also flexible so divers with less work holiday allowance can join part of the trip for example.
Accommodation
We have arranged accommodation in all dive locations and through out the trip. As a result the overall package cost is likely to be in the region of £1,950.00 without flights. This is excellent considering we are diving the best 3 locations in Belize and also including the the best sightseeing being the Mayan Temple Ruins and historical sites.
Flights
The flights from London to Miami are in the region of £475.00 with British Airways. The flights from Miami to Belize City are in the region of £300.00 return. We will also need transfers between the locations which will be provided by the dive centres.
Visibility ranges from 10-35 metres and the water temperature from 26-29C.

We are based at the Bridge Tap at London Bridge.

Come and join us for our monthly social. It is important to note that the group will have an area reserved. We will reserve a corner sofa area so should be easy to locate on the night. We will also have meetup signs as well. The staff will also be aware of our group so by all means ask on arrival. You will be able to spot us as you walk into the pub.

As a result of the group having increased in size and the large number of divers attending the social evenings we have changed venue so we have more space and so that we can have an outside area during the warmer summer months. Come and join us!!!

As the pub is a Stonegate pub they have a great variety of ales and all drinks. They have the fantastic ale library which has over 20+ ales and a whisky showcase. They also have a great variety of good quality wines and food as well.

This is a monthly meetup to enable all members to have an input on future meetups and enable everyone to meet new members and encourage introductions. We now have at least 20 divers at every monthly social. Why not come down and join us for a drink and meet the group. It will also be a chance to provide an outline of future trips and diving destinations and provide further information on existing scheduled diving trips if anyone has any questions. This meet up might be an opportunity to meet members who have booked on the same trip as you in advance of your departure. We look forward to seeing you all.

2. Scuba Review - Scuba diving skills review in preparation for dive season or planned holiday - £100.00. (Based in West London (Tues, Wed & Thurs) so email me to arrange)
3. Full PADI Refresher Reactivate Course - £175.00. This includes full refresher and Re Active Touch (Theory refresh) (Tues & Sun)
4. Pool Session - To try out kit and spend some time in the pool - £30.00.

   The fantastic leisure centre at Marshall Street in Soho, London. These facilities are perfect for our group as it is very central and the facility has just been refurbished. These facilities are perfect for any introduction to diving. The pool depths range from 1 metre to 3 metres which is sufficient for all diving training requirements. Our central London dive courses take place just behind London's iconic Carnaby Street in the state-of-the-art £38m Marshall Street leisure centre, containing arguably the finest pool in central London.
   This 30m long pool gives students tonnes of room to swim around in, practice their skills and fine tune their buoyancy. The pool is constantly heated to 27 degrees celsius and has a study conference room.

PADI DISCOVER SCUBA - £60.00
A try dive is also available which is a taster dive so you can briefly experience being underwater with the equipment. Have ever wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? This is an ideal way of experiencing the under water world without having to commit to a PADI course like for example the PADI Open Water. You will be assisted by excellent qualified instructors who are trained to offer you the best experience and make you feel comfortable in the water allowing you to enjoy the experience. During the scuba diving try dive experience you'll learn how to use scuba equipment in a warm pool and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.
There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It is the perfect preparation for the PADI Open Water Course. You learn the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of one of our PADI Professionals. Learn what wearing scuba equipment feels like and how easy it is to glide around underwater while wearing it.
Learn some basic skills and safety rules that will carry over to your full scuba certification course when you take the next step. All the equipment you will need is included in a Discover Scuba Diving experience.

PADI REFRESHER DIVE/REVIEW - £100.00
If you are looking to go on holiday soon and have not dived for over a year then you will want to consider completing a scuba diving refresher course. This course will give you the confidence again prior to any planned holiday. If you haven’t dived for a while, or are a bit apprehensive about getting back in the water and want to freshen up your skills then a PADI Scuba Review is for you. Most dive centres around the world will insist that you complete a Scuba Review if you haven't dived for 12 months or longer. The course normally takes 3-4 hours. Please remember to bring along your PADI certification card and log book.

PADI REACTIVE – This is the full PADI Refresher which includes refreshing of the theory as well. This is available at £175.00 and includes refreshing of all the dive skills and also the PADI theory refresh.

POOL SESSION - £30.00
If you are looking to just spend time in the water and you are already qualified as PADI Open Water then you can join us for this session and spend time in the pool testing out kit and practicing. This way you will not have the pressure of group holiday diving and you can have around 1 hour 30 minutes to do what you want.
If you want to undertake any of the above dives then RSVP and let me know which dive you want. All dives will need to be booked in by us and paid for so payment will be requested prior to the event itself once dive has been confirmed.
