## Roman London Revealed: Uncover everyday Roman life

Beneath the curious old pathways of the Square Mile lies a rich Roman history surviving 2,000 years of building, fires and bombings.
Explore the Billingsgate Roman House and Baths by descending into the basement of an office block on Lower Thames Street, and discover one of Roman London’s most fascinating remains. First built around A.D. 150 then extended a hundred years later, it was occupied right through to the end of Roman London in the early 5th century A.D. Get close to the protected archaeological remains, which are preserved in immaculate condition, as if the archaeologists have just left the site.

2 pm - Have a mooch up to CITY WALL VINE STREET (coffee shop inside if not keen on second bash of Roman history!) No tour here - just have a mooch as it is a free exhibition and then we'll head off to a pub after 30 mins ish.

Accessibility: the archaeological site is located in the basement of an office block. The only access is via a staircase (2, 9 and 3 steps).

PLEASE NOTE:
LoMAZ events are run by volunteers. We limit event numbers as we prefer a smaller, friendlier group.
If you're on the confirmed attendee list and can no longer attend, please do change your RSVP as soon as possible to give someone on the waitlist the chance to come along (please do let us know if you are not going to change your ticket with venue - think they say 48 hrs notice before, but check with them, as someone on the waitlist will probably be very keen for your ticket!). If you're on the waitlist, you will automatically be moved to the confirmed attendee list if someone's space becomes available, and Meetup will notify you - and hopefully the person who has dropped out will be able to offer you their ticket if the event is sold out at venue).
Members who do not change their RSVP to 'no' and do not show up or attend when they are not on the confirmed attendance list, 3 times in a row will be removed from the group. If you 'placehold' ie book yourself onto the event and then change your RSVP 5 times in a row, you'll also be removed.
