Red Rocks & Anemone Loop - Boulder

Details

I only have time for a short hike on Monday, so let’s do a quick hike at Anemone. It’s always beautiful…

Difficulty: About 5.5 miles with about 1,200 feet elevation gain.

HIKE DESCRIPTION: We will hike through the Red Rocks trails where we will see beautiful Red Rock sandstone formation. Then on the Anemone Loop trail, we will see ponderosa pine forest stands and foothill meadows and enjoy views of Mount Sanitas, the Indian Peaks Range (if the skies are clear enough), and Boulder Canyon. The Anemone Loop trail ascends the eastern slopes of Anemone Hill up to a 6,300-foot ridgeline then loops around the southern slopes above Boulder Canyon. The exact hike we are doing is not in alltrails, so I will post a photo of the trail in photos. Here is a link to my alltrails route if you want to download it: https://www.alltrails.com/explore/map/map-november-6-2022-7a6a612?u=i&sh=ittjkn

DOGS ALLOWED IF FOLLOW PARK RULES: Dogs must be on leash or have a voice & sight control tag. See https://bouldercolorado.gov/services/voice-and-sight-program. Please be sure your dog is well behaved and can handle the length of the walk. Dog owners must clean up pet excrement.

ADDRESS/DIRECTIONS: We will meet at The Peoples’ Crossing Trailhead. Here is a link to the trailhead website…you can click directions at this website: https://bouldercolorado.gov/trailhead/peoples-crossing
If you use google maps, you can type in “The People’s Crossing” to get directions.

We wait 5 minutes for late arrivals…but no longer as that is inconsiderate to those arriving timely. So please allow extra time to get to the trailhead.
