The proceeds from our event this Thursday will be donated in support of the Lebanese cause, and we're doing so by partnering up with the Keshmat Chess Center in Beirut.While we cannot alone change the course of yet another shameful conflict, we can contribute by supporting The Ghassan Abu Sittah Children’s Fund, hoping that all children in Lebanon will soon return to a daily life marked by peace, respect for human rights ... and chess.
As the founder and organizer of Lisbon Gambit, I can't and won’t impose my values on anyone. However, I presented them without hesitation and without fear of judgment or confrontation. If you disagree, you’re welcome to skip this event.
