This Meetup aims to bring LGBTQ+ people together in a fun, respectful & inclusive way — and in a fun, respectful & inclusive space. That space happens to be … the California backcountry and then some.
Activities and events will run from the very beginner-friendly (city hikes & car camping!) to the somewhat more rugged (backpacking & snow adventures!). Some will be kid-friendly. Some will be dog-friendly. Some will be guest-friendly. If you ever have questions or concerns, just ask.
Some rules:
—Respect and safety are paramount. Violations of either on group platforms or at events — whether by members or their guests — will not be tolerated.
—In case there were any doubt, that includes racism, transphobia, ableism and other bigotry.
—There is an inherent risk in outdoor adventures. Activities listed here are social outings, not guided tours, and members are responsible for their own safety. Be realistic & communicate with organizers in advance about your comfort level, abilities & any specific needs or concerns.
