Cuckoo Way and TPT to Chesterfield

Details
The route uses a combination of the TPT and the Cuckoo Way, which includes both abandoned and restored sections of the scenic Chesterfield Canal. After lunch in Chesterfield with its famous crooked spire, we return to Kiveton via a mostly different route, though there is one common section.
GPS: A gpx route file is available on request.
Lunch: This will either be sat on public seating close to the spire and a Greggs, or there is a Wetherspoons with outside seating. We can decide when we get there. Alternatively you can bring your own snap.
Meet: 10:00 for departure by 10:15.
Venue: Kiveton Community Sports Park (free), Colliery Rd, Kiveton Park, Sheffield, S26 6LR.

Nearest rail station: Kiveton Bridge (300 yds). Direct trains hourly from Leeds via Wakefield Kirkgate.
Technical difficulty: BLUE (Moderate), mostly good surfaces with nothing particularly technical.
Physical difficulty: BLUE/RED (Moderate to Difficult). Although there are a lot of flat level sections along river and canal, there is also some climbing involved. The total (aggregate) ascent is about 1,300ft, so a reasonable level of cycling fitness is required if you are on a standard bike.
Distance: 30 miles
Duration: 5½ hours estimated (including stops).
Suitable For: Mountain bikes (hardtail is fine). Doable on a gravel bike, but not ideal due to some rather bumpy sections.
Recommendations: Spare Tube, Tools, Pump, Lunch (optional), Snacks, Water.
Safety: No Helmet = No Ride!
