Ride Grading: Red

Ride Description: We start with a good climb up to and through the woodland of Hardcastle Crags, before taking some good tracks up to Widdop Reservoir where we cross the dam and climb up to Gorple Gate a terrific high moorland trail with stunning views takes us across the moor before dropping down to Hurstwood Reservoir the final descent is on a rocky single track trail which takes us back down down to Toddmorden where we join the canal we then climb up to the high level trail just below Stoodley Pike and then drop down to Hebden Bridge. There is no café stop on this ride so please bring your own Refreshments.

Estimated Distance: 27 miles (23 miles shortcutting Stoodley Pike)

Estimated Ride Duration: 5 hours

Technical / Physical Difficulty: Intermediates. Three steep climbs and some rocky technical single track makes this a hard ride so a good level of fitness required.

Suitable For: Mountain Bikes only

Recommendations: Spare Tubes, Tools, Pump, Food, Water, Helmet

Safety: No Helmet = No Ride!
