Adventure Child - Strawberry Full Moon Twilight Paddle - Kayak the Colorado River
Adventure Child is hosting a full moon twilight paddle that will take you on a journey down the Colorado River at one of the most beautiful times of the year.
We will launch from Willow Beach and paddle upstream 2 miles to Emerald Cave. After visiting Emerald Cave, we will make a stop at the beach where we will make a fire, roast some hot dogs and make some s'mores. We will watch the sun set from the beach shore and wait and watch as the Full Moon begins to rise up from over the mountain tops.
We will then paddle back 2 miles to Willow Beach under the twinkling stars and glow of the Full Moon.
Whether you are experienced or a first-time explorer, this adventure is sure to leave you with memories that will last a lifetime. We can't wait for you to experience the tranquility and majesty of the Colorado River with us at night. Being on the River at night is a totally different experience than during the day. Self drive to Willow Beach - no pickups.

Drive up Willow Beach Road to Kayak Beach to left of main parking lot.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled launch time to meet your guide at the kayak beach.
Please make sure you know where you’re going ahead of time as there is no cell service once you get into the park.
Please be advised: Willow Beach is part of the National Parks system and there is a $25 entry fee per vehicle if you do not already have an America the Beautiful National Parks Pass.
Below are some items that will be helpful for your trip:
- Water - at least 1L
- Swimsuit
- Snacks
- Water shoes
- Towel
- Ziplock bag or dry bag
- Change of clothes
- Extra socks/shoes
- Headlamp
- Extra glow supplies (some will be provided)
