What we’re about
Our focus is introducing new people to rock scrambling hikes, mostly in the Red Rock Canyon and Calico Basin area just west of Las Vegas. We welcome friendly beginners wanting to learn; who love exploring nature as we do.
For liability and safety reasons we require a recognizable photo on your profile and that your meetup groups and history are not hidden. We don't accept anonymous profiles.
There is a minimum fitness level you need before attempting even a beginner rock scramble, which is a strenuous, athletic pastime. We're often climbing steep rock, check out our photo section to see what we do, hikes of 3-4 miles and a thousand feet elevation gain are common. You should be able at a bare minimum to comfortably walk 3-4 miles on rough rocky ground before trying a beginner rock scramble.
