Dear Lake Michigan Sailing Club Members,We are thrilled to announce that our new website went live in November! This marks a significant step forward for our club, and we have some exciting changes coming your way.
Starting with the 2025 season, all membership fees will be collected via our new website. Additionally, enrollment for sailing events will also be managed through the website. This means that sailing events will no longer be available on Meetup, as we are transitioning away from many of their services, including event enrollment. This will streamline our processes and make it easier for you to stay engaged with all club activities. In addition, we are eliminating the temporary guest membership and people now will be able to sign up and join right away and become a full member (see instructions for Temporary members below).
Here are a few important details:
∙ Password Creation for 2024 individuals, family members, and 2024 Temporary members: To streamline your access and participation, we have created an account for you on our website so you DO NOT need to click on Membership Registration. To set your password, please visit https://lakemichigansailingclub.com/log-in/. Reset Password. Your ID is the email address we have on file for you (the e-mail included on the application you prepared before). Again, you do not need to register on the website. Go to the login link at: https://lakemichigansailingclub.com/log-in/
∙ For individuals and family members: Upon your first login, you will be redirected to make your membership payment for the 2025 calendar year. If you have already prepaid in 2024 for 2025, no payment is required, you are all set and can enjoy signing up for sailing events as they become available.

∙ For 2024 temporary members: Since we are now eliminating temporary membership, we are giving you an opportunity to join our club as a paid member. We hope that you will join us! Upon your first login, you will be redirected to make your membership payment for the 2025 calendar year. An account has been created for you on our website so you do not have to register. See instructions above for Password Creation and Log in link.
∙ For temporary members PRIOR to 2024: Since we are eliminating temporary membership, we are giving you an opportunity to join our club as a paid member. We hope that you will join us! Go to our lakemichigansailingclub.com site, our new website, click on the Membership Register tab and fill out a new application and you will be redirected to make your membership payment for the 2025 calendar year.∙ For returning boat owners and LMSC Board of Directors: Please follow the instructions above to create your password and enjoy signing up for events when they become available. Training will be provided on how to create sailing events on our website.

New boat owners ONE-Time registration fee is $50 plus processing fee of $2.50, totaling $52.50.
∙ Secure Transactions: Please note that all payment transactions through our website will be processed on the PayPal site. Our website will not collect or store any credit card information, ensuring your financial data remains secure. You will be able to sign up for sailing events immediately after making the payment.
Payments do not affect your ability to register for monthly meetings or other non-sailing events.
We are excited about these improvements and believe they will enhance your experience with the Lake Michigan Sailing Club. If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Fair winds and happy sailing!
