What we’re about
"Knit, Purl, Pray" meets on Wednesday nights from 7:30 pm until 9:00, to share a quiet time together creating useful and beautiful crafts. While we started as a knitting group, but we welcome all portable handiwork and crafts that can be pursued quietly in our Fellowship Room. Crochet, quilting, embroidery -- even whittling and fly-tying! -- are welcome.
If you are a complete beginner at knitting and want to learn, our expert teacher can guide you in making a scarf/toque/mitten set. Over a period of three months you will create a complete matching winter set, while learning all the teqhniques you need to take on any knitting project. And if you are an expert knitter, you are welcome to bring your current project and share your wisdom.
Above all, we're committed to making this a peaceful refuge where, while your hands are busy, your mind is set free to think deeply and your soul is free to reach out to something greater.
