Welcome to the Klarna Engineering meetup group in Stockholm!

At Klarna, we believe in knowledge sharing as one of the main drivers for personal development. Our community is continuously strengthened through activities and events – like meetups – where we can learn from and inspire each other. Here you'll meet engineers from every corner of the world, dedicated to crafting solutions that redefine our industry.

The Klarna headquarters in Stockholm is the base for 800+ engineers, with English as the working language. Our ambition is to organize inspiring meetups with knowledgeable speakers and engaged audiences on topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, functional programming, native development and software security. There will be something for everyone – from beginner to expert!

Code of Conduct for Engineering Meetups at Klarna's Headquarters, Stockholm

  1. Respect and Inclusion:
    • Treat all individuals with respect, regardless of their background, identity, gender, race, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or abilities.
    • Embrace diversity and foster an inclusive environment where different perspectives are valued and appreciated.
    • Be mindful of your language and behavior. Avoid offensive, discriminatory, or demeaning remarks or actions.
  2. Safety and Security:
    • Help us maintain a safe and secure environment. Report any concerns or incidents promptly to the event organizers or staff.
    • Respect the personal boundaries and consent of others. Do not engage in any form of harassment, stalking, or unwanted advances.
    • Abide by all local laws, regulations, and venue policies.
  3. Collaboration and Learning:
    • Encourage open and constructive discussions while engaging with speakers, organizers, and fellow participants.
    • Share knowledge and experiences in a helpful and considerate manner, promoting a culture of learning and development.
    • Be attentive and respectful during presentations, asking questions that contribute positively to the discussion.
  4. Responsible Conduct:
    • By signing up for one of our events, you confirm that you are in fact interested in the topic that is being discussed and will participate actively in the sessions. Please leave work at work.
    • Food and drinks provided by Klarna are meant to be consumed in moderation as part of the event, and not brought "to go".
    • Be mindful of your surroundings and the property of others, including Klarna's facilities and equipment.
    • Do not engage in disruptive or unauthorized activities during the event, such as trespassing our excessive drinking.
  5. Compliance and Consequences:
    • Non-compliance with this Code of Conduct may result in consequences, including but not limited to warnings, expulsion from the event, or reporting to appropriate authorities.
    • The decision to enforce consequences for unacceptable behavior rests with the event organizers.
